Welcome to Tekapo Springs (formerly Alpine Springs), one of New Zealand's leading tourism attractions. Situated at the base of Mt John in Lake Tekapo, Tekapo Springs is a year round destination for the whole family.

We are open 10am-9pm daily 364 days of the year. Tekapo Springs offers three tiered Hot Pools with temperatures ranging from forty degrees Celsius to thirty six degrees Celsius. Soak up the magnificent views of Lake Tekapo and the Two Thumb Range.

Relax in our European style sauna & steam rooms, with a cold water plunge pool for the brave! Indulge in a massage or spa treatment at the Tekapo Springs Day Spa, using the French brand Bernard Cassiere.

The outdoor, international size skating rink is now open all year round - inline & roller skating from September to April and fun activities for the whole family on the ice from April to September, including public skating, skate lessons, curling, ice hockey and figure skating.

Try Snow Tubing in the winter or ride New Zealand's only artificial summer tube, October to May. Grab a tube and slide down the 150 metre slope - a great adrenaline ride in either season!

There is a licensed cafe on site serving great coffee, organic juices, and a great variety of meals.
