Pete and his partner have built a real food empire in the town: across the historic alleyway from Saffron there is Blue doors bar and further along the pizza joint, Pesto. But it’s at Saffron that Pete's flavorful cooking style is best show cased, as is the local produce and wines.
Saffron Restaurant is ideally suited to Central Otago seasons. With a large outside seating area for the spring/summer seasons and a big open fire for the autumn and winter, it provides a relaxed, friendly environment. The restaurant is located in historic Arrowtown's main street. The new corrugated iron building is home to one of the most serious fine food places in the area.
