A cosy restaurant offering rustic and hearty food for all meals, breakfast to dinner, accompanied by lake views. Adorned with traditional memorabilia harkening back to the sawmill days of the 1800s, with a menu inspired by the historic surroundings.

Emphasis is placed on slow cooked quality food with homemade bread, free range eggs, wild venison and rabbit, as well as south island salmon on offer. There are plenty of sweet treats available, including world famous carrot cake, to accompany a coffee or one of our boutique beers and award winning wines. We try to source everything locally and keep it relevant to the area.

Winter specials include mulled wine and Irish coffees, as well as our fireside fare menu, all of which can be enjoyed by our wood fire.
