Dine right on the beach, far from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre! The Bathhouse is an iconic restaurant and historical landmark situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and delivering breathtaking views along with the highest standards in food quality and presentation.

Our restaurant, housed in an original victorian bathhouse built in 1911, only offers 8 tables, thus guaranteeing our guests an intimate dining experience. Whatever the occasion, all our guests without exception can enjoy uninterrupted views over Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains, usually snow-clad in the winter, or gaze at the awe-inspiring sunsets over the mountain range.

By day we operate as a cafe, offering hearty food with a twist, while at night our establishment turns into a formal dining venue, well known for its 4-course (at $ 58 per diner) and 10-course degustation menus, although we also offer a comprehensive a-la-carte dinner menu together with an extensive winelist featuring a large selection of Central Otago Pinot Noirs.
