The Summer Season has begun with mountain bikers and international tourists arriving to ride and tramp in the Tongariro National Park, we have updated our summer prices and are looking forward to a long hot summer.

The Ruapehu Cabins offer visitors the choice of 6 comfortable heated cabins and one 2 bedroom self contained family house, set on large grounds with a friendly atmosphere and spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu. The perfect Mt Ruapehu accommodation base for your Summer holiday. Mountainbike trail transport can be arranged with pick up/drop off from the cabins.

Our budget accommodation is suitable for groups, couples, families, or backpackers and we are pet friendly.
The cabins are within walking distance to the Ohakune town centre, shops, restaurants and ski hire. We are close to Turoa skifield and a short drive to Whakapapa Skifield, North Island, NZ.

Ohakune is a great base for walking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and for your Whanganui River canoe adventures. Transport for the walking and biking tracks of the Tongariro World Heritage National Park is easily arranged with pick up and drop offs from Ohakune.

Mountain biking is becoming very popular with the completion of the Ohakune Old Coach Road and the Mountains to the Sea cycleway. We can provide mountain bike hire and transport and have a great bikehire/accom package available.
