Welcome to Whanganui River TOP 10 Holiday Park
This beautiful family holiday park is located right on the banks of the Whanganui River. Whether you need a quality motel, self-contained accommodation, a simple cabin or a spot to pitch your tent or caravan, we've got something affordable for everyone!
Rated 4-Star-Plus by Qualmark, this is the highest rated holiday park in the Wanganui/Manawatu area.
We offer Free WiFi to all our guests. Free Parking next to your cabin or motel. SKY TV in all our motels and Communal Lounge. Peace and tranquillity of a riverside location mixed with the fun and activities you'd expect from a quality TOP10 Holiday Park.
Our friendly, family park boasts great facilities and activities including: an Outdoor Swimming Pool (heated to 30 degrees from September-Easter), a Games Room, Jumping Pillow, Bouncy Castle, Adventure Playground, Trampoline, Petanque, Aviary, Hammocks, Slack Line, Basket Ball Hoop, Volley Ball Net, TV room with Sky TV, large Kitchen, Dining and BBQ areas.
Also for hire we have: a private Spa Pool, Trikes to ride around the park, Kayaks to take out onto the Whanganui River and Mountain Bikes to take around town or on the local mountain bike tracks. If that's not exciting enough we can organise a game of Paintball for you and your friends. And if you fancy a run around or game of ball there's a large open field next to the park.
We have a Boat Ramp where you can launch your own boat or jet-ski or take out one of our kayaks. Or we can take you 5 or 8kms up river and you can make your own leisurely way back to the park by kayak taking in some of the fabulous scenery you just don't get to see by car.
Most of our accommodation has outdoor decking and seating areas, some of them with great views of the river, others where you can relax watching your children playing on the playground. There's plenty of picnic areas around the park, some shady, some sunny - you choose. Relax on a bench or blanket by the river and watch the Waimarie Paddle Steamer go by - we're the only holiday park to get a regular 'toot-toot' from an original paddle steamer as it passes right by our grounds
