Nestled in the hills surrounding the Miramar Peninsula and surrounded by luscious green gardens, lies our classic 1940s villa, where good quality beds in stylishly decorated rooms await your company. Relax on a comfortable couch in the conservatory. Watch a movie on a flat-screen TV. Sit in the gardens and enjoy the flowers and trees. Drive the scenic route around the bays and arrive in Wellington City in only 10 to 15 minutes.
That is Botanica Homestay, offering private, "apartment-style" accommodation, with optional breakfast.
In the guest area of the Botanica Homestay you will have the entire downstairs floor for your private use, catering for up to four guests. This includes:
- a "main" bedroom with a queen-size bed,
- a second bedroom with a king-size bed,
- a conservatory (or sunroom) with views of the front garden,
- a lounge with a TV, DVD player and a computer,
- French doors that open onto the gardens, a small fridge and a microwave,
- an outside sitting area, and
- a modern bathroom for your private use.
Please note:
- There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee and tea-making facilities and so on (see our Facilities page).
- You have to ascend steps to reach the house. Not suitable for walking frames or prams.
- Free parking on the road.
- Breakfast is available at extra cost.

In addition to these comforts, you'll enjoy free, secure wireless internet and the use of a desktop computer (iMac) in the downstairs lounge for fast Internet access if you did not bring your own laptop or mobile device. A wireless printer is also available.
The TV in the lounge comes with a DVD player and SKY decoder with movie, news and sports channels. A selection of DVDs of various titles is available if you want to enjoy a movie, and there are CDs for music.
Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the sunroom. You can also enjoy our delightful mature gardens, full of flowers and comfortable outdoor seating.
Breakfast at Botanica is optional and available at an extra $17.50 per person per day, served either in our dining area upstairs or in the conservatory.
