We have quality, spacious accommodation in Fox Glacier, just 2km down Cook Flat Road in a picturesque rural setting. Mt Cook View Motel is the only Motel with unimpeded majestic views of New Zealands highest two mountains, Aoraki Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. We are also the closest motel to the iconic Lake Matheson.

Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to explore Fox Glacier and take in all the things that we have to offer. Experience a scenic flight over the glacier and up to the Main Divide, around Aoraki Mt Cook. Try a half day glacier walk or even some ice climbing. Gillespies beach is also an amazing destination. This rugged west coast beach is steeped in history, and there is also a seal colony to explore. You might like to try sky diving or even a Heli hike.

We have a range of walks, from world famous Lake Matheson, with its stunning mirror reflections, to rainforest walks and even a glow worm walk after dark.
