Founders Brewery, Bar & Café - Nelson's best family venue. Situated in the beautiful Founders Heritage Park the café and local brewery is locally owned and operated by the Duncan Family. Relax under the hop vines in summer and make the most of the sunny days that still grace us in winter in the café courtyard. Grab a tasting tray of beers for just $10 and enjoy great food from the bar menu. Take some time for yourself while the kids play in the playground safely in view - (that is if they aren't still munching their way through their delicious meal from the kids menu…)

We have an all-day menu available from 10am - 3.30pm and till close on Friday nights. Our snack menu is available 3.30pm - 6pm during summer.

We designed our menu to be family friendly - plus we have delicious cabinet food changing daily. A good selection of baking is always available with great coffee from Pomeroys. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. Where possible we support local Nelson businesses by buying local.

We love to do small to medium Functions such as weddings, corporate events and birthdays. All catering is done on site from our very own kitchen.

The newly refurbished the café has a great indoor/outdoor feel in summer, yet is warm and cosy in the winter. Take a peek through the large viewing window to the Brewhouse - you might just catch some of the Founders family preparing a batch of your favourite Founders beer.
