The restaurant is located on Wakefield Quay, an area rich in Nelson history, where the first boats led by Captain Arthur Wakefield landed (1841). The area has been neglected for some time but due to redevelopment by the Nelson Council, is now becoming a hub for both tourists and locals alike as a vibrant seaside district. The Styx is at the heart of it all, offering a unique blend of food, beverages and service. Featuring both local and Central Otago wines, local craft beers on tap and the wonderful Bruno Rossi blend of coffee we are sure you'll find something to your tastes.

Our food cabinet is stocked with all day fresh baking and we feature a lunch and dinner Fisherman's Hook menu that changes daily depending on the days sea food catch as well as a selection of delicious gourmet pizzas for quick casual dining. The Styx takes great pride in the fact that you can sit and watch fishing boats roll into Port Nelson from the Tasman Bay and within a couple of hours one of our wait staff can deliver their catch cooked to perfection to your table.
