We are a privately built, owned and operated tavern that offers a full range of meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner with bar snacks provided all day, along with espresso coffee and tea. Punakaiki Tavern provides a variety of double and twin studio en suite units in a relaxing atmosphere with friendly service.
Adjacent to Paparoa National Park and a two minute walk to the beach and river, take the time to explore this beautiful settlement on the west coast, which is full of caves, disappearing streams and river gorges.

Punakaiki Tavern provides 9 ground-floor Studio Units in double or twin configuration. Units have ensuite bathrooms with a shower and vanity. Accommodation is in queen size beds (9) and single beds (7) fitted with electric blankets, bedspreads, continental blankets and pillows.
