Southwark Apartments was built by Nigel and Julie Lundy in 2008 and is managed by the family.
They extended the building after buying neighbouring land and this extension was the city’s first building site commenced in the Christchurch CBD after the February 2011 Earthquake.
"It was strange building in the empty damaged streets then with rubble everywhere and aftershocks" says Nigel… "But now the area is resurging with new building all around, a vibrant polytech, the new IT centre across the road and cafes and restaurants opening up".
Southwark Apartments is managed by Julies daughter Gabrielle and also in the team is another daughter Rebekah.
This close family connection ensures the highest standards and individual care through to the guests which larger organisations often talk about but cannot replicate.
