Silver Stream Horses is owned and operated by Barbara Verlinden. We are located in a lovely quiet valley a 15 minute drive from Dunedin, close to Mosgiel.

Barbara has been riding and caring for horses her whole life. Originally from Belgium she moved to New Zealand in 2004. After first working for and later owning a trekking stable in Queenstown she bought some land in Silver Stream Valley close to Mosgiel, Dunedin.

It started a vision of creating a place where horses can live in a "natural setting" and where people can connect with horses in a more real way by using natural horsemanship methods to train horses and educate people.

Barbara has a wide variety of experience with horses, having worked in various branches of the equine industry.

Working with horses on a daily basis has not only developed horsemanship skills, It has also developed a greater understanding of body language, both human and equine.
