Welcome to the Anchor Motel and separate Timaru backpackers. Your hosts Sandy and Greg are very friendly, competent and hard working. We will make your stay as comfortable as possible. We offer a warm, homely environment, with accommodation types to suit all budgets. From a single backpacker stay to large family motel units, and great rates for group bookings.

Our Timaru accommodation is centrally located, 5 min walk to the famous Caroline Bay Beach, Timaru Tennis Centre and Maori Hill Aquatic centre, coastal Cliff Walks, childrens paddling pools. Many takeaway outlets and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk.

With accommodation choices ranging from backpacker beds for $25 per night or single room with TV for $175/week, basic studio from $49, 1-bedroom unit from $89 to large 2-bedroom family units for $109, we're sure to have something to suit everyone.
