Chris and Adrienne have been in the motel industry for 5 years before purchasing and taking over the reins of 315 Euro Motel on 2nd April 2012. They are an enthusiastic and hardworking team with very different but complementary skills that they use to constantly look for ways to improve their motel business operation. Their company name "Nitpicker and Big Picture Limited" says it all. Try and work out who is who ?.

Prior to working in motels, both came from education backgrounds. Chris was a secondary school teacher for twelve years, most recently a History Teacher at Otago Girls' High School. A Dunedin boy, he attended Otago Boys' High School and then Otago University, studying and practising law before finding teaching. As a business owner and operator, Chris thoroughly enjoys the challenge of a people-oriented industry. He loves living in Dunedin and is able to give guests advice from a local perspective.

Adrienne (nee Rangi), a Taranaki-girl, left Hawera to attend Otago University's School of Physical Education in the early 1980s. After training to be a teacher, she has taught at primary school level, then as a secondary school health and Physical Education teacher in various parts of New Zealand before returning to Dunedin in the early 1990s to run a Health and Physical Education department at Queen's High School. After ten years in that role she changed direction to work as a teacher education lecturer at Otago University. Adrienne finally said goodbye to academia and the university in November 2008 to work with Chris full-time in the motel industry. After a stint in America in 2010 for yoga teacher training, she now combines her work in the motel with teaching Bikram Yoga as well as Yin Yoga at the local studio on St Andrew Street (only a block and a half away).

Family is important to Chris and Adrienne. They have three sons. Emerson (the eldest son), with his wife Mandie and their 3 children: Ashleigh, Arya and Link, lives and works in Dunedin. Caley also resides in Dunedin. Jaren attends Logan Park High School. He is beginning to take on some responsibilities within the business as duty manager when Chris & Adrienne take some time out for coffee, a walk to go to a sporting event, or a movie.
