Our fresh modern fare offers something for everyone.... Coffee, Cakes, Brunch, Lunch, Weekend Dinners, Gourmet Platters or perhaps take one of our famous cod boxes over to the beach to admire the sunset.
We are fully licensed & can accommodate up to 45 people, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, club functions or a family get together. We can also create menus to suit your requirements.
Dietary requirements are also well catered for with several vegetarian options & a huge range of Gluten free options available.
On Friday and Saturday evenings we offer casual family dining with very reasonable prices on steak, pasta, seafood & pizza...................so give us a go. Take away Pizzas and Blue Cod boxes are also available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. (Please note that our gourmet pizzas are only available at night for dine in or takeaway - All of our pizza bases are made from scratch every evening to guarantee freshness and quality.)

Dave and Heather Hardy bought the Cafe and took over mid September 2012 - They have a vast hospitality backgound, a husband and wife team that have owned numerous restaurants in Central Otago and are particularly well known for owning The Stables Cafe Restaurant and The Walnut Cottage in Arrowtown. This is a true family run business with their daughter Ria managing the cafe as well as her husband Sonna working along side Dave in the Kitchen. We are passionate about food and wine and just love to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy the stunning view in a friendly environment.
Just a 15min drive from the city centre Macandrew Bay is located on the Otago Peninsula in the South Island of New Zealand. It is situated on the edge of the Otago Harbour, and is named for pioneer settler James Macandrew who lived here during his later life. Early residents of the area called the bay "The Hundreds", due to the large number of boulders which covered the foreshore.
Macandrew Bay is a suburb of Dunedin, but has the feel of an isolated coastal settlement and is often regarded as a separate township, even though the heart of the city is visible 10 kilometres away at the head of the harbour. It is both a commuter and a harbourside retreat from the city.
We are also available for parties and functions - talk to Ria or Heather about a special occasion you may have coming up and we can tailor set menus to suit your budget or if you have a group of over 15 people we may be able to open an evening for you outside our usual hours of operation.
