Salt has become one of Dunedin's popular dining-out destinations and has also established itself as a vital component of the vibrant cafe scene at St Clair. Opening in 2007, at 240 Forbury Rd we're a cafe by day that morphs seamlessly into a bar and restaurant by night.

We're a place for all reasons and seasons and enjoy a strong local clientele. The restaurant, which seats 50, is where the lunch and dinner can be enjoyed. The adjoining cafe and bar have a relaxed vibe, patrons on warm days being able to soak up the sunshine in the outdoor seated area set up on the corner site which is touted as "the sunniest spot in St Clair"
