The Last Post is currently open 5 days a week from 5pm, closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. We have changed the menu to a more fun & tasty Tex mex cuisine with lots of tequilla & margaritas strong.

Experience excellent cuisine, fantastic atmosphere & the roaring open fire in this beautiful historic building. The original Methven Post Office was converted into The Last Post 25 years ago & has recently had an internal revamp to provide a contemporary and exciting place to spend your evening - whether enjoying the superb cuisine or just relaxing with a drink on the sofas.

We cater for the tourist and the local market through out the year and aim to excel in fantastic food, wine and service. Our menu is tex mex so there is lots of flavour happening but not to hot & our range of dishes and prices ensure that there is something for everyone. We go the extra mile to ensure that all our meat and produce is of the highest standard and we use ingredients from local suppliers.

The Last Post has a cosy bar and sofas to unwind on whilst trying some of our amazing cocktails or fresh local cuisine prepared by Jeff. Enjoy three different style of Monteiths on tap or a selection of international beers that Earl has found. To ensure the ultimate night out, you can choose one of our award winning wines from around the world or sip one of our sublime cocktails made by Earl & the team.
