It all comes back to our name: The Purple Weka Cafe takes the cheekiness and attitude of the humble Weka and takes a fun twist on it... after all, you won’t find a Purple Weka in the wild, but you will find a cheeky smile, tasty food, great coffee or a cool drink and a comfortable space when you come here.

The Purple Weka Cafe is proud to be open again at 48 Fitzgerald Ave on the edge of the CBD, Christchurch’s Newest HotSpot! We holed ourselves up in a shipping container for long enough, but finally the Weka is able to stretch its flightless wings again.
