It is situated a short distance out of Fairlie (South Canterbury) on our 1200 ha sheep, beef,and deer farm which runs up onto the Albury Range.
In a farmyard setting, it is a cozy fully self-contained cottage with all
that is needed for a hassle free holiday.
Possum Cottage is a charming 3 bedroom farm cottage, which comfortably sleeps 8 to 10 people. It has 3 bedrooms; the 1st room has a queen bed, the 2nd room has a set of bunks and a single and the 3rd room has a double bunk/single and two singles. The lounge also has a divan that has two separate mattresses.
Linen and breakfast can be supplied for a small fee
It is "Family friendly". verging on a "Grandmas Cottage" atmosphere with the ambience of an open fire and a touch of Art decor!
It has everything you will need to feel relaxed.
Children will have endless fascination with the farmyard animals and can
come help with their feeding routine or when convenient watch the sheep being shifted etc.
You are welcome to walk and explore the native
wilderness in our gorge and tussock land or just absorb the peace of the
Country.
In winter there are 2 ski fields less than ½ hour away to their access
roads: Mount Dobson and Fox Peak that both offer great family skiing and
Adventure. Lake Opuha, New Zealand’s newest lake is a treat in the
Summer to fish, swim, boat and mountain bike.
We are ideally situated for day trips in every direction i.e. Roundhill, Winter peak,Tekapo (30mins) Mt Cook (1hr 40 min's) Timaru (40 min's).

Head to Timaru from the Centre of Fairlie. Travel about 4 Km’s and you
will come to the first.Signposted road on your RIGHT. It is McLEANS RD this an NO EXIT road (so you cant get lost). Drive 5 km to the very end where Possum Cottage is situated.
