Shop Eight Food & Wine is an experience unique to post-quake Christchurch. Located on a beautiful heritage street, the small space has been cleverly fitted out by Rekindle using materials salvaged from the post-earthquake demolition process. Downstairs is a standing wine bar and kitchen, upstairs is a 26 seated dining room. Our wine list showcases the best wines in the region, most having been grown and made organically or bio-dynamically.
From 6pm Alex Davies serves his excellent daily-changing menu using exclusively local produce. The menu is made up of 4 small plates of food, priced at between $17 and $22 per dish, accompanied by a selection of sides and fine New Zealand cheese, choice of the Canterbury Cheesemongers. We refer to it as a grazing menu, and often find that people go back to the menu, usually having between 3-4 dishes & sides per couple.

We are committed to using local produce that has been grown / reared ethically and sustainably. It is the people that we connect through our practise that inspire us to work hard and think big.
