Experience the wilderness and history of the "Kowhai Gorge" on horseback. We guide you through native bush, river crossings, and ride a river gorge passage into the Kaikoura mountains where wild life and history blend with stunning majestic views. You will need some horse riding experience, 3 - 3 1/2 hours or 5 - 5 1/2 hours set aside for a trek, strong footwear, camera, water bottle, sun protection and warm clothing suitable for riding, an enjoyment for exploring and hearing some local history.
