With spring in the air, campers are starting to flow in enjoying breathtaking mountain views and to have the beach right at your doorstep; Peketa is the place to stay! Wake to a magnificent sunrise stretching over the only beachfront holiday park in Kaikoura, set for a new day of adventure or relaxation. The water is still a bit chilly but many are surfing and diving catching delicious crayfish and the boaties are heading to the seas once again.

We offer over one hundred spacious sites, both powered and non-powered, throughout the park including 28 special powered sites spread across the beachfront, each on hard stands with their own picnic table and spectacular views. Pitch your tent on the water’s edge or under the native canopy of trees. We also have 10 comfortable standard cabins with excess room outdoors to put up a gazebo or to park the boat. A sheltered BBQ sitting area provides a great place to cook and dine.
The 3 amenities blocks provide full facilities including free showers.

The park has a good family feel with a playground, flying fox, and a 9 hole mini-golf course to keep the kids happy. For the fishermen, we hire out rods, and we offer fish filleting areas to prepare the catch of the day. And for the surfies, the Kahutara surf break is a short walk down the beach.

The office and shop combined is your first stop to buy your essentials and delicious treats, including our Real Fruit Ice Creams, world famous in Kaikoura. A must try.
