Nobanno - Literally means "New Rice"

Nobanno - Utsab is a traditional winter festival, making the harvest of the main rice crop in Bangladesh. It's celebrated across the country, particularly in rural areas .

Nobanno - Utsab is celebrated with home - made cakes and sweets made from the new rice . These are distributed to neighbours and friends. People gather together and participate in traditional folk songs and dances - part of the rich cultural heritage of this beautiful land.
